Dara, Kyoto and Citroen.

Bit of an odd and expensive month really. Odd good as opposed to odd, odd.

I am very fortunate to have never had any money before, so I haven’t got the joy of rising damp or knackered clutches. I have some money now and I am postponing the inevitable ownership shackles that come with it.

I rent and I don’t drive. Hoorah. I also don’t smoke and can resist both alcohol and other naughty substances. Hoorah again.

So although I am not loaded, I do get to go to Japan at the end of September. HOORAH!

I have booked a trip to include time in Tokyo, a Bullet train ride past Mount Fuji, Buddah-belly-rubbing in Kyoto and just being awestruck. I am taking pants, t-shirts and an empty suitcase.

I have always wanted to go to Japan for the complete foreign-ness of it all. I’m not that interested in Manga or Kawaii, but I am interested in smooth lines, technology and different things. That’s it. I want a heap of different.  23rd of September rock-onwards.

I have started learning to drive again too. I am insured to drive a great ship of a thing, the Citroen C5 estate. It is a huge bastard and would hurt if it chose to collide into anything.

I do hate driving, but have bribed myself with the dim promise of a Press-Ganged friend and a meal at The Fat Duck when I have passed the test. I will also be getting a stupid car. My mother suggested a Mondeo. Come off it.

Forgot to mention last month that I went to see the divine (and beautiful) Dara O’Briain being exceptionally funny at the Plymouth Pavillions. Good enough to go and watch alone and violently recommended.

So that’s what I did. I have some time alone for a bit. Great Art of Dance pole display again (despite a ceiling that couldn’t stand the heat) at Annabell’s last night. Fools who didn’t go. FOOLS.

Still living in a tip of an office and still buying extravagent amounts of beautiful fabric. Well, they shouldn’t allow me into Liberty if they don’t want me to buy anything.

Saw this picture on a wall. Borrowed, scanned and returned. Lovely, ain’t it?

Much love as per, oh great anonymous.
